We have been homeless and drifting a cross country for nearly a month. Wesley you seem to miss your friends terribly and especially your girlfriend Lily. Alex on the other hand is just up for the adventure unfortunately having 4 teeth come in makes for less than pleasant evening. The plane ride to Alaska I would classify as a borderline disaster. Between Alex screaming for three hours and squirting apple sauce all over I am left in the thrilled to fly again with you.
We should be moving into our new house tomorrow so I am hoping to have more time soon to update this blog.

Last Day Working
This move seems to be creeping up faster and faster. Tomorrow is my last day at work, and then I will be a stay at home mom for X amount time. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was nervous about this whole ordeal. you guys are exhausting and at work I get mandatory breaks. however I fear that most of my conversations at work and not as intellectually stimulating as the conversation Wesley and I have been having lately.
Wesley - what shape is this mommy? ( holding up cup )
Mommy - it is a circle
Wesley - it's not a circle it's a spear it's 3 dimensional.
Tonight conversation was also fun
Wesley - see mommy they are superheroes, they have super powers.
Mommy - do you have super powers
Wesley - I don't have super powers I have to get super powers from the store.
Mommy - okay we will have to remember to put that on our list and pick that up the next time we're at the store. What kind of superpowers are we going to get at the store.
Wesley - I'm going to get all of the powers ohhh and milk and cheese. That's all I need.
Alex meanwhile is still sent to self destruct. you're out the dog door every chance youget, hanging of the back of the couch. I am very glad that you have been such a great sleepover probably because you exhaust yourself.

How I Met Your father
In order to fully understand our latest move we have to backtrack to when we first met.
We where both 17 and on the high school swim team ( as much as I would like to keep you on the edge of your seat and keep this going for 10 long drawn out post i'll just give you a quick summary) On November 4th 2000 we want on our first date. We continue to see each other daily until summer rolled around which is when Drew departed for his first summer at the Goldmine in Alaska. We continued with a long distance relationship through College and he continued working every summer at the goldmine.
As soon as Drew graduated we moved to Oregon where we both worked for five years and shared the daycare responsibility as much as we could. I work primarily evenings and weekends at the hospital so finding family time can be difficult.
So as you can imagine when the goldmine call drew and offered him a job as their civil engineers and surveyors we jumped on the opportunity to move to Alaska and for me to be a stay at home mom. Well baby girl you are up from your nap so I have to go play with you.
Just like the TV show I feel like this has nothing to do with how we met. :-)

March 11
A few months ago I visited my sister in Washington DC, it was there that we had the brilliant idea to writing a daily letter to our children. Shortly after I realize that was an unrealistic goals for myself, I mean I can't even write a daily status update for myself how did I really expect to write a letter daily. This blog is a sorry attempt towards that goal and hopefully a reminder to myself later on in life of how I kept my sanity or how I slowly lost it.
Wesley and Alex
I don't know if either of you realized it or not but today you nearly pushed me over the edge, I think it may have been around the time Alex ate the worm (don't worry Alex you did not like it) or maybe it was when Alex squeezed her dinner on to Coalys head, or maybe it was when Alex got into the bathtub fully dressed while I was giving the coaly a bath. At any rate bedtime was early tonight,
I suppose I should take the time to explain why I'm on the edge tonight. Your dad left 7 days ago for a new job in Alaska, and you guys are exhausting... OK Alex is exhausting. being only 13 month old we have nicknamed you trainwreck Wesley at 13 month old have a nickname of bulldozer. Soon you will out grow this phase until this I will remain exhausted.
speaking of exhausted I'm too exhausted to finish my posts tonight.
yours truly,
exhausted mother.
